A. Collections and Libraries

The papers of the society are housed at the Presbyterian Historical Society, the National Archives of the PC(USA), in Philadelphia. In addition, Cambridge University Press maintains an electronic archive of all issues of the society's journal, Church History: Studies in Christianity and Culture, at Cambridge Journals Online (CJO).

B. Programs

The society holds its annual conference as part of the annual meeting of the American Historical Association in January. Spring conferences are typically held every other year.

C. Publications

The society publishes Church History: Studies in Christianity and Culture on a quarterly basis. The journal is devoted to publishing articles and book reviews that treat the entire history of Christianity and related subjects, as well as the historical interaction between religious expressions and culture. Issues of the journal can be accessed through Cambridge Journals Online (CJO), JSTOR, and ATLA/ATLAS (through EBSCO).

D. Fellowships and Awards

The Society offers annually a series of book and article awards. All nominations and entries must be submitted to the Executive Secretary at the American Society of Church History office.

The Frank S. and Elizabeth D. Brewer Prize, offered annually and limited to authors publishing their first scholarly work, is an award of $2,500. (The book may be in print or the author may have a contract for the book to be published.) Entries in their final form must be received by March 1.

The Albert C. Outler Prize is an annual award in the amount of $2,500 to the author of the best book published in the published in the prior calendar year, that illumines the diversity of global Christianity, issues of Christian unity and disunity (doctrinal, cultural, institutional), and/or the interactions between Christianity and other religions, in any period and area of the history of Christianity. Nominations must be received by March 1.

The Philip Schaff Prize is an award in the amount of $5,000 to the author of the best book in the history of Christianity by a North American scholar published in the prior calendar year. Nominations must be received by March 1.

The Jane Dempsey Douglass Prize is an annual award in the amount of $500 for the author of the best essay published during the previous calendar year on any aspect of the role of women in the history of Christianity. Nominations, accompanied by a copy of the article, must be received by March 1.

The Sidney E. Mead Prize, offered annually, is an award in the amount of $500 for the author of the best unpublished essay in any field of church history written by a doctoral candidate or recent graduate whose manuscript stems directly from doctoral research. The manuscript will be published in Church History. Entries must be submitted by July 1.
