The CSUDH History Department offers an undergraduate major and minor in history. It provides history subject matter content for teachers in Liberal Studies and a subject matter preparation program for aspiring secondary school social science teachers, completion of which satisfies the California Teacher Credentialing Commission's subject matter competency requirement. It also provides a solid foundation for students interested in graduate and/or professional training.
